The entire day will be airport time, which isn't so bad. At lease our overnight is on the island instead of in Texas. We investigated flights from Sioux Falls, SD, Minneapolis and Omaha and this was the better option for lfight time and price.
We have After 5 Concierge getting groceries to our hotel tonight. Then when we fly out to Salt Cay at 7:30 tomorrow, we are ready for the week and can grab our own breakfast or a light lunch when we need to. Diving makes you hungry. I'm interested to know if having this concierge get groceries is better than just buying what you can on the island. I'll do some research on that. It seems like it might be a bad idea since the Caicos Express Airways charges .85 per pound over 50lbs of packed luggage. Umm, that's pricey. I think the meals included option might have been more cost effective.
I'm sure either way, we'll find great food on the island. Can't wait to get to Salt Cay. Our first task is scuba skills refresher! Then we will are ready to roll. We have five cameras along so if we dont get extensive coverage of this trip, our bad!
Our son is back home taking care of life, the dog has been to the vet for her weepy eye and she seems like she is okay. That's good news.
